Important Before the Party
What should volunteers wear?
Volunteers should wear a black top (Committee Members should wear a white top) and denim/black bottoms.
Where should volunteers park?
Please park in the south parking lot (which is the one closest to the cafeteria).
Where and when do volunteers check in?
Volunteer check-in is located at the South Entrance, door 22 (closest to the cafeteria). Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift begins.
Will there be a place to secure my purse or other belongings?
No. There is no secure room in which to place important items. You will need to carry everything with you throughout the evening. Please limit the items you bring with you to things you can keep in your pockets or in a fanny pack. DO NOT STORE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR! While students are not permitted to carry cell phones, you are welcome to have your cell phone with you.
Will there be refreshments for volunteers?
We will provide water at check-in. If you would like to grab a snack in the cafeteria, please do so before or after your shift. Because many of you cannot leave your stations for security reasons, we will walk around to see if more water is needed.
Important for Night of the Party
Protocol if a graduate who purchased a ticket doesn’t show:
We will go to the stage and call the name and then if not there, we will phone the student’s parent or guardian.
Protocol if a graduate needs to leave the party before 4:00 am:
Prior approval to leave the party early must be obtained by contacting either co-chair (Katie Hedges or Stacy Hanson) to make arrangements (contact info below). To make arrangements, the student’s guardian must speak to the co-chairs (Katie Hedges or Stacy Hanson) directly and pick up their student at a pre-arranged time and designation.
What if someone is sick?
Go to the nurse’s station (Teacher’s Lounge)
Emergency Weather Procedures:
Go downstairs to normal tornado drill locations & wait for further direction (graduates will know where to go).
Fire Evacuation Procedure:
Exit the building immediately and meet at the Junior Lot
